What is Interact... Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people ages 14-18. The program gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends. Through service activities, Interactors learn the importance of: - Developing leadership skills and personal integrity - Demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others - Advancing international understanding and goodwill The Oberlin High School Interact Club Advisor is Rotarian Donna Shurr. Oberlin Early Childhood Center volunteers Baby-sitting for PTO at Eastwood and Prospect schools Bill Long Foundation Santa's Attic March of DImes - Walk America Campaign Santa's Parade and Chilli Cook-off Rotary Pancake Breakfast City - wide Garage Sale for the Oberlin Chamber of Commerce Rotary Adopt-a-Highway Safety Town Rotary Auction and many other community projects |

The Interact club raised money to fund the construction of homes in Jamaica for low-income families. The homes will be built in 2008 by students from Defiance College. Picture above - Interact students with representatives from Defiance College. |
In February 2008, the OHS Interact Club concluded a 4-year effort to raise $3100 to fund a house to be built in Jamaica for a needy family. This project is being undertaken by students from Defiance College. |
